pricey

everything's expensive now. i was calculating how much it would need to upgrade my computer. i mean upgrading it's ram and video cards as well as a new motherboard. and boy, the figures are, well, left to be said.

even clothes nowadays. a ralph lauren polo shirt which, in it's highest regard, looks too plain to be costing that much. i mean $90 for a pair? come on. i know that exchange rates are in play here and also with the influx of the current monetary values. but if you look at it carefully, most of the products aren't made where their parent company is. most or all of the time, it's made from developing countries. with that fact in hand, it's surprising that the product costs aren't as low due to it being made in such countries.

of course, companies such as these, their sole purpose is to make profits. and though salaries for developing countries are at best low, raw meterials aren't. then there's trade tax and other factors in play.

i can go on and on complaining. but that's not going to change anything, innit?

on a final note: if you have a billion, you'd have to spend about ten thousand a day and that'll last you for two generations. that's an estimation of 140 years. of course, when you've everything you wanted, you're stilll left with seventy million.

that's a lot if you ask me.
